Since an early age I have been enticed by electronic music, in particular minimal and acid techno. I enjoy its simplicity and how its use of repetitive beats, loops, rhythm and pattern lead you on a journey that takes you back to where you started, continuously repeating and looping back on itself.

Thinking in particular about the Fluxus artist Dick Higgins and his term super-boredom, I have invited the electronic musicians Surgeon, George Rogers and See The Road to respond to the thoughts and ideas within the exhibition. Does the repetition of an action, sound or image remove its context and therefore its meaning? Through repetition do we subsequently create something meaningless?
